Time is ticking! What's the plan and what to bring!

With just over 24 hours till the start of the walk, I think it is safe to say that we are not going to be blessed with the amazing (if a little hot) weather that we had last year. Therefore the advice of what to bring is going to be very different from that of last year.



WHATS THE PLAN?

2:30pm - 3:00pm - Registration, Ticket pick up (you will need these for finishing drink, ice cream and food)

Meet at the Knepp estate, follow the brown signs to the Knepp kitchen and shop. There is a countryside day event also being held there tomorrow, so it may be a little busy.


3:00pm - Set off on the walk

There are a number of different routes at the Knepp estate, varying in length. The routes can be downloaded from www.knepp.co.uk. Dogs on leads are welcomed.


4:30pm - 5:30pm Finishing medals for the kids and cup (eco friendly) of Fizz for the adults. YOU WILL NEED TO PRESENT YOUR TICKET FOR STAMPING.


5:00pm - 5:30pm Head to the Tipsy Fox for further celebrations. RH13 9HG.

Ice cream van will be waiting at the Tipsy fox although I'm not sure if hot chocolates will be more suited to the current weather. There will be a special Henna station, all donations will go directly to Ataxia UK.

YOU WILL NEED TO PRESENT YOUR TICKET FOR STAMPING.


6:00 pm Raffle Drawer

I''m still speechless at the amazing prizes we have this year!! Good luck everyone.


6:15pm - 7pm Food

The Tipsy Fox will be providing a BBQ style meal and if last year was anything to go by, it will be delicious.

YOU WILL NEED TO PRESENT YOUR TICKET FOR STAMPING.


7:00pm - onwards Eat ,drink and be merry!



WHAT TO BRING


  • Waterproofs

  • Water

  • Snacks

  • Umbrella

  • Suncream (you never know)

  • Old towel to dry your feet if you are planning on walking barefoot, it's going to Muddy out there!

  • Change of clothes - at least one of my children falls over every time we visit the Knepp Estate.

  • Slip on shoes or flip flops, that you don't mind getting a little muddy, for the tricky bits.

  • Download the Knepp Estate map onto your phone as signal can be a little iffy sometimes. www.knepp.co.uk
